STATEMENT
Dr Hari N Harilela founded the Harilela Group in 1959 with his then two brothers, George and Peter. Dr Hari is Hong Kong Affairs Advisor to the Chinese Government. He was awarded the "Gold Bauhinia Star" - China's second highest honour, voted 'Entrepreneur of the Year' by Travel Asia magazine and also awarded the 'Asian Hotelier of the Year' in 2000 by Jones Lang LaSalle / Arthur Andersen.

am pleased to welcome you to the Harilela Group. The company, historically
known for its real estate and trading activities has developed into an
inter-national company specialising in hospitality. Our strategy is to
build and develop leading positions in each of the fields in which we
operate. We will continue to apply our expertise and foresight to enhance
quality and add value in our hospitality related business
Our company's hotel division encompasses award-winning, first class hotels operated by Six Continents Hotels and Resorts (Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental hotels), Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (Sheraton and Westin hotels) and the Quality Hotel chains.
The life blood of any company is its people, their entrepreneurial abilities and creativity and the innovation that stems from these. Over the years, all divisions of our group have demonstrated their effectiveness as innovators. Across the company, we are introducing new ways of doing business that help improve our performance and productivity. These initiatives are all being pursued to build and develop leading positions in each of our businesses. Throughout our company, we have people who make things happen to satisfy our customers. Without the valued patronage and support of all our customers, it would not have been possible to achieve the progress that we have experienced.
